WWW Wednesday #5

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

Well, actually, I’m not currently reading anything. But I am planning on starting BLINDSHOT by Québec author, Denis Coupal, tonight. It’s a thriller set in Québec which should be fun.

Just Finished

I finished reading THE WOO-WOO by Lindsay Wong, last week, which I really struggled with. It was the wrong kind of read for me—a memoir about a dysfunctional family, but I didn’t like the flippant way the author treated her mother’s mental illness. It was all a bit crass.

Up Next

I’m looking forward to one of three (maybe 4) books, THE KINGDOM OF THE BLIND by Louise Penny is my first choice, followed by US AGAINST YOU by Fredrik Backman, and then there’s the tenth book in the Flavia de Luce series, THE GOLDEN TRESSES OF THE DEAD, by Alan Bradley. And I’m still waiting on TWISTED by Steve Cavanagh arriving.

And you, what are you reading right now?

I took a mini-break, Jonetta, to clear my mind and do projects, and that way, this weekend, can focus on some fun reads.

Yes, Sophie, I’m going for “safe” reading, as in, I know I’m going to enjoy each and every one of these TBR books. And Backman is fast becoming a go-to as well. 😀

It happens, I think trying to read out of my comfort zone means I take chances on different books, and that’s good but also, as it turned out, a risk.
