Relaxing, French-Style

This, my friends, is how we roll here, in Québec City when not rushed to go to work. We have brunch at one of our favourite restaurants, the Cochon Dingue at Laurier—a Parisienne style bistro—where they serve up some of the best crepes around. All served with a side order of potatoes, bacon, and yes, that’s Chantilly cream next to my plate!

Oh, and to wash it all down? A Shirley Temple, of course.

Ha! Ha! I knew you’d get the joke, Sophie. This chain of restaurants is fun as well as having great food.

  2. Great mural, love the décor but eh crêpes with potatoes, that seems like a strange combination :-). As long as you like it ;-). I don’t know what a Shirley Temple is but that looks more my thing, I wouldn’t mind trying that!

I’m English, Inge, so it’s potatoes with nearly everything! Ha! Ha! But here, it’s crepes with everything. 😉

And a Shirley Temple is named after the actress, and is a combination of orange juice, grenadine, topped up with something like 7-Up, though some use ginger beer. But whatever the combo, it’s refreshing. 😀
