The weather has gone from minus 10 and storms to sunshine and plus 17 this weekend, so today, as they said it was going to get upwards of 20 degrees, I grabbed my camera and went for a walk in out local park. The Bois de Coulonge, which roughly translates as the Coulonge woods! It’s literally ten minutes around the corner from where I live, and with the sun beckoning me outside, I went out in search of flowers. Well, I didn’t find many flowers but I did find the lodge (home) of the exceedingly rare lesser brown ground beaver. Alas, there was no sighting of the very shy creature, itself. But then, that’s only to be expected. Check out more photos over on La Dolca Vita website!
If you would like a break from reading reviews, book memes, or book related posts … go look at some spring flowers, cup of coffee in hand, and enjoy a moment in the park. No, these are not left over rockets from WWII Germany, they’re flower planters in the vegetable garden. Now go, look at the pretty flowers!
On a day where everything, including myself, is driving me nuts, I thought what better way to lighten my mood than to share another of my Floral Portraits with you all. And why not, it’s snowing … again! Hope you’re all having a great weekend, wherever you are.
Just because I can, and because the snow is feet deep out there, I decided to share a little colour with you from this past summer: one of my floral portraits.
Sometimes, when words fail you, or you are simply too busy to write a post, it’s better to go with something that speaks a fabled 1000 words … and what better way than with a picture of flowers! So here, in lieu of a post about writing, or books, or authors, or anything bookish (as I’ve had a screamingly busy day) here’s a photo I took of a Peony, from earlier this summer. Enjoy!
